FAQs
1. Where do I park? There is an allocated car parking area for day visitors and additional cars. If you have come by car and have a tent or caravan, then you can park ONE vehicle on your pitch. if your caravan has an awning or your tent is larger than 6 m you may have to park in a designated parking area , due to fire regulations.
2. Where do I register, on arrival? You need to head to our Reception Tent (not Thorney Lakes Reception), where we will check you off against our booking records. If you have not booked and paid, then you will not be able to come to the event. You must bring Government approved photo ID. You will be issued with a wrist-band which you must wear at all times during your stay.
3. How does Car Sharing Work? For any off-site visits, we operate Car Sharing. If you can offer a lift or you need a lift please sign up in the Reception Tent. On the day(s) of the events, please congregate at the Reception Tent if you are a driver or passenger. It is your responsibility as drivers and passengers to get yourselves to and from the external visits.
4. What are the Catering Options?
Bare Butties operates on site for Breakfasts, lunches (filled rolls), Cakes and hot drinks. Cash/Contactless is accepted. Please bring your own plate, mug and cutlery where possible. Here is the Menu. If you cannot tolerate cow's milk, please bring your own.
Evening Catering is provided by outside caterers as follows. As soon as we have full menus, we will link these here.

4a. What if I missed the slot for booking my Chinese Meal or my Indian Meal?
Chinese meal booking slot is Monday 7th between 1730-1830, for delivery on Tuesday evening 8th. Ichi Tong phone number is 01458 252678 / 01458 251356 and you must quote "BareCamp at Thorney Lakes" and bring exact money cash on delivery...
Indian meal booking slot is Saturday 12th 1530-1600 for delivery on Sunday 13th (evening). Cardamom phone number is 01458 252215 and you must quote "BareCamp at Thorney Lakes" and pay over the phone or bring exact cash on delivery.
4b When does the Bar open? BarNuda is open daily from 12 noon until last orders. Cash//Contactless is accepted. Please only use PLASTIC drinking vessels - you can purchase full-pint or half-pint cups at BarNuda.
5. Can I go fishing in the lakes? Yes, you need to book your permit with Thorney Lakes' Reception. You MUST also have a Rod Licence.
6. Where/How do I sign up for activities? Any activities that require advance "signing up" will have sign-up sheets in the Reception Tent. If you need to make up a team for Universally Challenged or any other activity, the Reception Tent is where you need to head to.
7. What if it's cold? Many naturists bring a warm clothing option if the weather is inclement. You could consider a sarong/parou/dryrobe/dressing-gown/hoodie top/poncho etc. Remember also, that whatever the weather you MUST always sit on a towel.

9. I am no longer able to attend. What do I do? Please email us as this means we can release your pitch/day pass to the next person on our reserve list. Your ticket is NOT transferable , and a Cancellation Policy applies that states what refund (if any) is available.
10. Can I bring my own alcohol? You may bring your own alcohol to consume on your own camping pitch, but the Events Area / Main Marquee is a licensed area, and only drinks purchased from BarNuda can be consumed in the Licensed area. BarNuda takes cash and contactless payments, and stocks some 0% and GF drinks options.
11. Can I take photos? Photography is permitted within the confines of your own pitch only with the express permission of everyone within the picture. Camera-enabled devices are not allowed in any of the communal areas, event zones, bar, ablution blocks etc. Bare West Events Ltd reserve the right to inspect any devices for evidence of such and anyone taking, producing or recording images may be asked to leave the event and will be required to delete any unauthorised images. Camera-enabled devices include but are not limited to mobile phones, laptops, smart watches and smart glasses
12. Can I bring my dog? Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Dogs must be on a lead/tether in the main camping areas. You must pick up after your dog - bagged waste can be placed in the bins by the toilet blocks. Dogs are permitted in a small area within the main marquee and they are NOT PERMITTED on the dance floor areas as this may also be used for relaxation or sport activities
13. How do I know what is on each day? The website will have an abbreviated programme for each day. There will be a printed more detailed programme posted up in Reception and the Main Marquee, with WhiteBoards highlighting any changes. We will do our best to stick to the published programme, but sometimes things change beyond our control. Please be flexible!
14. How do I volunteer? Please speak to a member of the Team if you feel you can lend a hand.
15. Where is the nearest grocery shop. Kingsbury Episcopi has a community shop open DAY TIME ONLY. It is about 1.5 miles left out of the main gate of Thorney Lakes and has a good supply of groceries. There is also a Post Office and cafe there.
